About the role

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher  (0.6 FTE) to join our team from September 2026 on a one-year fixed-term contract. The role is based in KS2 and would be worked across 5 mornings. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a school with high expectations, strong behaviour, and a clear focus on high-quality teaching and learning. Our approach is rooted in mastery lesson design, ensuring all pupils secure strong foundations and make sustained progress over time.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who:
 
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or is on track to achieve it)
  • Has a secure understanding of the primary curriculum, including phonics
  • Is committed to mastery approaches, ensuring all pupils achieve success
  • The ability to plan and deliver well-structured lessons with clear progression across the primary phase
  • Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and address misconceptions
  • Has strong behaviour management and high expectations for all pupils
  • Can adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Is reflective, organised and committed to ongoing professional development

What the Role Involves
 
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons using a mastery approach (clear modelling, guided practice and independent application)
  • Using effective questioning to check understanding and address misconceptions in the moment
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress to inform next steps
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school and wider trust
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school community
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement and presentation
