About The Role

Midday-Supervisory Assistant required as soon as possible.

Permanent, Part time

6.25 hour per week

We are seeking new members of staff to join our hardworking and dedicated MSA team, responsible for the health, safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunchtime period.  Applications are invited from individuals that are positive in attitude and able to relate well to children and adults.   Previous experience of working with children, particularly those aged 7 – 11 is desirable.  The hours of work will be 11:55 -13:10 Monday to Friday (1.25 hours per day, term time only).  

Whilst the vacancy is for Monday to Friday (full week), to demonstrate our flexibility we are happy to also accept applications from candidates that wish to work part time only (job share arrangement) – if this is you please state clearly in your application which days you would be available to work.  Similarly we are happy to consider a casual/zero hour arrangement should you wish to work on occasional days, to cover short term absence for example, again, please state clearly in your application which arrangement you would prefer.

The successful candidate(s) will be:

  • able to administer basic first aid (training would be provided)

This position is term time only, contracted hours are for 38 school weeks plus leave entitlements.  Working weeks plus an annual leave allowance (paid and received during school holidays) and public holiday entitlement equates to 43.70 paid weeks per year. Salaries for term time only appointments are annualised and paid monthly i.e. in 12 equal monthly payments.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Wyke Regis Primary Federation will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
