About the role

About the Post

We are thrilled to announce two new and exciting leadership opportunities within our newly strengthened federated structure at Twynham School and The Grange School.

As part of our continued commitment to delivering an exceptional education for the young people of Christchurch, we are seeking two energetic, visionary Deputy Heads of School to join our ambitious and supportive leadership team. Both roles are pivotal to driving our shared ambition to provide a world-class education and outstanding personal development for every student in our community.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead the quality of education across two ambitious and successful schools: Twynham School and The Grange School. As Deputy Head of School (Quality of Education), you will be responsible for establishing and implementing a shared, strategic vision for curriculum, teaching, learning and achievement that ensures all students, across both schools, receive a truly world-class education.

You will work closely with the Executive Headteacher, Heads of School, and senior leaders to embed a coherent, aspirational curriculum and a culture of high-quality teaching and learning at every level. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, empowering subject leaders, and ensuring that staff have the professional development and support needed to deliver exceptional outcomes for every student.

You will have the opportunity to shape not only the educational experience of our current students but to lay the foundations for the future success of thousands of young people across Christchurch. We are looking for a dynamic, strategic thinker who believes passionately in the power of education to change lives and is committed to delivering excellence at scale.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking inspirational leaders who are:

  • Driven by a strong moral purpose and a belief in the power of education to transform lives.
  • Deeply committed to our values of equality, humility, and community.
  • Visionary and strategic, with a proven track record of successful leadership.
  • Energetic, collaborative, and passionate about working in a supportive and ambitious environment.
  • Ready to embrace the opportunities and responsibilities of leadership across our growing federated structure.

Why join us?

This is a genuinely exciting time to join Twynham and The Grange Schools. As two proud, inclusive, and high-performing schools within the Twynham Learning Trust, we share the same curriculum, the same values and ethos, and a collective ambition to offer the best of both worlds: a close-knit, nurturing community combined with the opportunities and innovation of a larger organisation.

Whether leading across both schools or within Twynham School itself, you will find a community committed to collaboration, professional growth, and making a real difference to the lives of young people.

If you are excited by the opportunity to have a significant impact across two schools, to drive system-wide improvement, and to work within a forward-thinking, values-led Trust, we would love to hear from you.

An enhanced criminal records check will be undertaken on the successful candidate. Candidates must disclose all unprotected spent and unspent cautions and convictions.
