Lytchett Minster School is looking for highly motivated teachers who are passionate about teaching and who will relish the prospect of making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
This post represents an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified specialist to share in the work of this thriving department and to work with a friendly and supportive team housed in excellent modern facilities. Whether you are new to working in a school environment, or a more experienced and ambitious colleague wishing to progress your career, this vibrant and successful school can help you to develop and flourish.
We are looking for a part-time Academic Tutor to join our Maths teams at Lytchett Minster School working 30 hours per week during term-time and the occasional day during the school holidays; the postholder will be required to complement the professional work of teachers by providing support to enhance the development and achievement of students studying KS3 - KS4 Maths. This is a permanent post to start as soon as possible. Less than 30 hours per week will also be considered.
The role of Academic Tutor requires an enthusiastic, committed individual with a talent for engaging students. This is a great opportunity for a gap year student or someone looking to gain experience before joining the teaching profession.
Visits to the school are welcomed and we would be delighted to show you around our fantastic school. Please contact Sharon Parker, Head's PA, on 01202 622413 to arrange a tour.
If you would like to informally discuss this post prior to applying, please contact Joelle Harradine, Head of Maths at [email protected].
Set in a semi-rural location with an 18th Century family Manor House at its heart, Lytchett has one of the most beautiful and inspirational learning environments in the county with stunning extensive grounds and a number of modern extensions. The school is massively over-subscribed and highly regarded in the community. Parents know that Lytchett looks after its students, providing them with outstanding pastoral care and high-quality teaching. The school has a successful, thriving sixth form with over 340 students.
Lytchett has not joined a multi-academy trust, and has no intention of doing so, because it values its independence as a secondary school which serves its local community and produces outstanding outcomes for its students.
