About the role

 

Bridport Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G5 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £17,023 - £17,293 per annum (Grade 5) pay award pending.

This job is Part Time - Term Time Only: for 30 hours per week and 38.4 working weeks per year.

It is offered on a Permanent basis 

Approximate start date: 1 September 2025.

Closing date: Wednesday 4 June 2025 at 12.00pm

Interview date: Monday 9 June 2025

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated member of staff to join our hard-working team of TA's. 

Essential qualities include discretion, empathy, professionalism and good personal organisation with great communication skills and a desire to see young people achieve their potential.  Understanding of learning difficulties, knowledge of subject areas and experience of working with young people in an educational setting will be advantageous. 

This position may include the running of our after school club 'Busy Bees'.

This post will involve support for children with Education and Health Care Plans who require additional support to access school life.

Working days will be Monday to Friday, and hours to be discussed at the Interview stage.  

A clean driving licence and your own transport is essential for travel across the Trust’s multiple sites and schools.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
