Hill View Primary, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our team from September 2025. The details of this opportunity are:

Location: Hill View Primary, Hill View Road, Bournemouth, BH10 5BD

FTE Salary range: Leadership Scale, Level L9 to L13

Contract type/hours: Permanent, Full time

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join our SLT as an exceptional non-class based Deputy Headteacher from September 2025. As a warm, welcoming, vibrant and inclusive school we are looking for an enthusiastic person with vision, compassion, creative, forward thinking and proven leadership skills to join our team as we strive to being an Outstanding school.

About the successful candidate

We require a Deputy Headteacher who will work in close partnership alongside both the Headteacher and current Deputy Headteacher in leading the school towards outstanding achievement through maximising pupil progress and attainment.

The Deputy Headteacher will be an outstanding leader with a clear insight into strategic leadership with a proven track record of school improvement. They will be keen for growth with high aspirations for self and others. Excellent management, organisational and leadership skills are a must with a history of being an outstanding practitioner who has taught across the primary age range.

There is a requirement for a thorough knowledge of all key stages and Statutory assessment and reporting arrangements, and the successful candidate must have high expectations for children’s behaviour, learning and aspirations and share a commitment to a values-based nurture-driven approach.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they have a passion to lead on a range of aspects from our creative and exciting curriculum that inspires and motivates children, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that can motivate others, and be committed to the wider values of the school and community.
