About the role

We are seeking a part time Grade 8/Level 1 Family Worker in the Purbeck Family Help team, based in Wareham. 
 
We offer support to local children and families and need enthusiastic family workers to join us. You will be supporting our Family Help team, this will involve direct working with children and families; creating, supporting and contributing to multi agency plans and interventions to improve outcomes and life chances for children and young people in Dorset.
 
This role is initially offered on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2026 due to grant funding linked to Dorset's Ukrainian Response Programme. This role will include a function for completing welfare checks for displaced Ukrainian families living in the Purbeck locality and supporting with ongoing family needs identified. Funding for this post is reviewed each financial year.

This is a part time role at 18.5 hours per week.
 
This post requires significant travel. You must have a vehicle (or transport we deem suitable) available for use as needed.
