We are looking for a caring, committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, working with a named pupil to deliver high-quality intervention work. This is a part-time role, working two mornings per week from 10:45am to 12:00pm, supporting learning activities planned by the class teacher and SENDCO. The position is fixed term, being linked to ongoing funding and the continuation of the pupil being on roll at the school.

Experience is not essential – full training and support will be provided for the right candidate. We welcome applications from those new to the role who are eager to learn and make a difference.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate empathy, patience and excellent communication skills.

  • Be committed to supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with ASC or sensory needs.

  • Be a team player who contributes to a positive, inclusive school ethos.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey, within a nurturing and supportive school environment.

Ideally, the successful candidate will also apply for our Midday Supervisor vacancy, which is being advertised concurrently. This role is for five days a week, 12:00pm – 1:30pm, and would complement the TA position well, offering additional hours and continuity of care for the pupil.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit or to find out more telephone 01308 485380 or email [email protected]

Closing Date: Monday 14th July
Interview Date: provisionally Thursday 17th July

To Apply: Please complete the application form online, referring to the person specification in your supporting statement.
