Information about the school
The Woodroffe School is a wonderful place to work with professionals who are passionate about teaching and learning, and where students thrive both inside and out of the classroom.
As a Local Authority 11-18 state secondary school, we are also in the fortunate position of being able to maintain our commitment to promoting teacher professionalism and autonomy. We know that if we are to genuinely meet student need, teachers must be in the driving seat for planning, and implementation. Centralised, top-down approaches just won’t cut it.
As a school our aim is to develop the whole child. Our curriculum is built from strong academic foundations combined with a rich extra-curricular offer. This means our students consistently excel, not just academically but as happy, thoughtful, and engaged members of society.
