About the role

Teaching Assistant (Level 2)*

24 hours, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (not including inset days)

Grade D, SCP 5 to 6 £25,583 to £25,989 FTE (£13.26 to £13.47 per hour)

Actual salary: £13,875 to £14,480 per annum pro rata

Permanent, starting asap (January 2026)

Lilliput CE Infant School is a four-form entry school, situated in the heart of Lilliput, Poole.

The school is seeking to appoint a Classroom Teaching Assistant to work with children with specific learning needs, enabling the children to flourish and prepare for their next steps upon leaving our school. If you have the ability to motivate and encourage children, are enthusiastic, responsible and enjoy working with children, please get in touch!

* There is an opportunity for some HLTA work, paid at an uplifted rate, for candidates with the relevant skills and experience. This is optional.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they meet the essential elements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks including a health check, and Enhanced DBS check, Child Barred List check and satisfactory references.
