Teaching Assistant - Charlton Horethorne Church of England Primary School

Salary:   Grade 5, Point 5 - 6: £7,137 - £7,250 per annum (subject to experience)

Contract:  Fixed-term until 24.07.2026, 12 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support the learning, emotional well-being, and social development of our pupils. The role will be working as 1:1 support, with small groups and classroom activities as needed.

The role will include:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering high quality teaching and learning
• Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources
• Work with individual or small groups of pupils to reinforce learning
• Help to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Promote good behaviour and support the emotional wellbeing of pupils
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

• Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Has good communication and organisational skills
