BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER with the ability to teach Maths

Required from September 2026, an enthusiastic, well-qualified Business Studies teacher. The ability to offer one of the following supplementary subjects is desirable:  KS3 Maths, A Level Economics or A Level Law. You will be joining a highly successful team in a vibrant and supportive school. Business Studies is taught from Years 9-11 at Gillingham School and we typically have 160 students opt for the subject each Year for GCSE.  At A Level we offer both the A Level and the BTEC courses, with both being popular choices.  Typically, there are three Level 3 classes in both Year 12 and Year 13. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. The MOJ’s guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975, provides information about which convictions must be declared during job applications and related exceptions and further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.

Keeping Children Safe in Education
