SEND Teacher (M1-M6)
Part-time (0.5), five mornings a week. Start as soon as possible. Fixed Term contract until 31st August 2027

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, compassionate and highly dedicated teacher who has a passion for enhancing learning experiences for all children. We are looking to appoint a teacher to work in our Ammonite Class with a dedicated team, teaching a smaller group of SEND children,
The successful candidate must have experience of working across EYFS and KS1. The successful candidate must provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring that each child reaches their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
We are looking to appoint a teacher who is:

Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality adapted lessons tailored to individual needs of SEND pupils.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils’ learning and well-being.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
- Use a range of strategies and resources to support pupils with diverse needs, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with parents/carers.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and statutory SEND requirements.
- Liaise with class teachers; providing support and feedback on pupil progress
- Assess against the Engagement Model, EYFS and National Curriculum.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
Essential skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting every child’s development.
Desirable skills:
- Additional SEND qualifications.
- Experience with assistive technology and alternative communication methods.
