Casual Passenger Assistant

Casual Passengers are required from the East Area contracted to cover Regular Passenger Assistant absence.  Hours are flexible and based on availability - Term Time Only -commencing at £13.05 per hour.

The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people with additional needs providing assistance/support in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school.

This vacancy is to support children/young people in the East Dorset Area.

Dorset Travel is looking for caring, flexible and responsible passenger assistant who have:

• Knowledge of moderate and complex learning needs.
• An understanding of safeguarding children.
• Recognition of a hazard and how to report.
• Customer Care

You must be physically fit with the ability to run, bend, stretch, push, pull, lift, carry and kneel to provide the care required for the position of a Passenger Assistant.

Dorset Travel is also an accredited training centre with experienced and qualified trainers, new staff will be invited onto a full induction training course, providing the tools and knowledge to enable you to work safely and professionally.

Full training is provided covering:

• Safeguarding
• Manual Handling
• Emergency First Aid
• Customer Care

Additional Training is offered:

Midazolam – epilepsy
Epi Pen – allergies
Feed Pump

Please note you will need to have Business Insurance in order to attend Induction and Refresher Training.
