EARLY YEARS / KS1 / KS2 CLASS TEACHER FULL-TIME, 1 YEAR FIXED TERM FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 – AUGUST 2027

We are looking for either an Early Years, KS1 or KS2 teacher to join our highly skilled team.
If you are interested in applying for an early years position, we are looking for a teacher who will be committed to the following:
- Building a culture based upon positive relationships, the value of listening and the fostering of children’s rights.
- Developing the Early Years Foundation environment along Reggio principles, including providing new provocations and stimuli on a regular basis.
- Developing innovative approaches to the delivery of the early years curriculum, including utilising the school’s mantle of the expert approach.
- Facilitating highly effective child-initiated learning experiences through the school’s TED (Time to Explore and Discover), embracing the Hundred Languages of Children (Loris Malaguzzi) to develop children’s languages of expression.
- Providing high quality daily outdoor learning opportunities through the creative use of the Early Years Foundation outdoor area.
- Committed to ongoing research to further enhance the learning of children in the early years.
- Working effectively within a team scenario in an open plan base.

- Building a culture based upon positive relationships, the value of listening and the fostering of children’s rights.
- Developing an emergent, inquiry approach to the curriculum, utilising the mantle of the expert approach.
- Developing high quality learning within taught sessions through co-construction with learners.
- Exploring innovative approaches to the development of English and maths skills and the broader curriculum, ensuring the highest possible outcomes for all children.
- Utilising Reggio principles and embracing the Hundred Languages of Children (Loris Malaguzzi) to develop children’s languages of expression.
- Providing high quality outdoor learning opportunities on a regular basis.
- Committed to ongoing research to further enhance the learning of children in KS1 / KS2.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Keeping Children Safe in Education
This school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Rushcombe First School. The post is a full-time, fixed term, main scale contract commencing September 2025 until the end of the summer term 2026. The post could be in EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
