About the role

Are you passionate about improving care services and making a real impact on people’s lives? Do you thrive in a fast paced, purpose driven environment? If yes, we want you to join our dynamic Quality Assurance & Contract Monitoring Team.

We’re excited to offer two fixed term roles within Dorset Council’s Adult Social Care Directorate. As a Quality Assurance & Contract Monitoring Officer, you will play a vital part in ensuring that care homes and working age adults services across Dorset deliver high quality, safe and person centred support.
This is a fantastic chance to contribute directly to improving outcomes for people using the services, strengthening provider relationships, and ensuring services deliver against clear quality and contractual standards.

What you'll be doing

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
  • lead and organise a programme of monitoring visits using a robust risk based approach
  • assess, evaluate and report on the quality of care and contract compliance across community based services
  • use digital intelligence and contract monitoring frameworks to identify strengths, risks, trends and improvement needs
  • work closely with providers to develop quality improvement plans through constructive advice and professional guidance
  • collaborate with safeguarding colleagues, commissioners and external partners to share insights and improve service delivery
  • promote positive experiences by engaging with Dorset residents and evaluating their satisfaction with the care they receive
What's in it for you?

You will:
  • build specialist skills in quality assurance, contract management, and service improvement
  • gain valuable experience across Adult Social Care and the wider commissioning landscape
  • shape better outcomes for local people and influence the quality of care delivered across the county
  • join a friendly, supportive team committed to collaboration, learning and innovation
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
  • experience supporting people with care and support needs
  • knowledge of relevant legislation within Adult Social Care
  • a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving high standards
  • strong communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships with providers and partners

A robust induction and relevant training will be provided along with supportive coaching and mentoring.

This post is also open to secondments—you’ll just need to discuss and agree with your line manager before applying.
