Broadwindsor CE VC Primary School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive, particularly those with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting a range of pupils across the school, adapting to different situations and challenges with flexibility and care.
We are proud to offer a new and exciting support base, designed to enhance our inclusive provision and ensure all children feel supported and able to succeed. Our school also benefits from Forest School provision, and our learners enjoy a range of after-school activities. Any sporting or creative skills you can bring would be a valuable and welcomed addition to our school community.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs

Assist pupils with their learning, development, and wellbeing

Be willing to undertake personal care duties where required

Support a variety of children across different age groups and needs

Adapt to different roles and responsibilities as required within the school

Supervise pupils during a daily 30-minute lunchtime duty

Attend INSET days and contribute to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be caring, compassionate, and patient
-
Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
-
Have a positive, flexible approach to supporting children

Be willing to take initiative and respond to the needs of the school

Have previous experience working with children (preferred but not essential)
