Role Summary:

Hillbourne Primary School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education by providing practical assistance, pupil support, and help with behaviour and learning activities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment. The role involves assisting pupils individually or in small groups.

We are seeking a professional individual who:

  • Has proven experience working with children, including those with additional or special educational needs.
  • Communicates clearly, calmly and professionally, maintaining composure and sound judgement under pressure.
  • Can provide sensitive, flexible support to pupils’ learning, behaviour and personal care needs.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management and pupil welfare.
  • Is a committed team player, motivated to support children’s independence and engage in ongoing professional development.
