About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a role with a wide variety of tasks within our busy inhouse signshop. You will be joining a friendly team and will have the opportunity to develop the role.

Are you an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills with the ability to multi-task and solve problems? If so, this is your opportunity to make a difference to your community and see your work county-wide.

You will:

be using various applications to manufacture and assemble a wide range of signs
apply vinyl graphics by hand and using plotters and large format printers
work closely with a multitude of teams to meet deadlines and customer expectations

We are looking for a new team member with great attention to detail and someone who is committed to the highest standards. You must also:

be a robust team player, with a flexible approach, keen to support colleagues working in our friendly and busy team
have exceptional communication skills are required for this role and you’ll share our values building good working relationships with colleagues across Dorset Highways and the Council

This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting, movement and standing for extended periods, a good level of physical fitness is therefore required. Training will be provided, but we would like someone with skills which are transferable to this role, with a willingness to learn quickly with the support of your team colleagues. The successful candidate will require a driving licence and be able to travel to Charminster depot, where the Operational Support Team is based as well as the depot covering their area of works in Dorset.
