SENDCo/Assistant Headteacher – L4-L8 (56,023 - £61,836)
This is an exciting opportunity to join Radipole Primary School as SENDCo as part of the Leadership team. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and dedicated candidate, who will drive high quality, inclusive provision across the school.
There is also the possibility for a candidate with the right experience to join the Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Head.
The post will have a 0.2 - 0.4 teaching commitment including regular or ad hoc cover.
As a SENDCo and inspirational teacher, you will support our Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher in providing strategic development and leadership of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within the school. You will contribute significantly to driving school improvement, particularly with regards to inclusion
As Assistant Head, your specific responsibilities would also include behaviour leadership responsibilities, supporting the day-to-day running of the school and line management of staff.
We’re looking for someone who is an experienced and passionate SENDCo and who will drive high-quality, inclusive provision across the school. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional who can lead strategically, inspire staff, and secure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
You will be:
- An experienced SENDCo with a recognised qualification, or currently working towards the qualification
- Qualified in Safeguarding Children at LSCB Level 3 or willing to undertake training
- Aspirational for all children, whatever their starting points
- Able to lead, motivate, support, challenge and develop staff to secure improvement
- Efficient and effective in order to meet specific objectives in line
with the school’s strategic plan and financial context.
- Proven experience of working creatively, with partner agencies.
- Able to lead a culture of critical reflection, engaging with others to
identify, share and promote effective practice.
- A good communicator and have interpersonal skills
- Innovate and embrace change positively
- Flexible and have a reflective approach
- Empathetic and understand the complex issues that disadvantaged and vulnerable families face
