Learning Support Assistant

ROLE: Learning Support Assistant

LOCATION: Bovington Academy

CONTRACT: Permanent Part time, term time only

HOURS: 30 hours per week

SALARY: Grade D, scale points 5 – 6, FTE (£25,583 - £25,989, Pro rata for part time (£17,503.64- £17,781.43) 

START DATE: 1 September 2026

With its extensive grounds and Forest schools; Bovington Academy is a primary school within a unique catchment area, including Bovington and the British Army garrison between Allenby and Stanley Barracks. We currently have 176 children on roll in 7 classes from Reception to Year 6, with 50% - 60% of those having a parent or carer in the services. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment, in which children from all backgrounds feel included and able to take part in enriching learning experiences. Bovington Academy is an inclusive, lively and exciting school; situated in the heart of the community within Bovington Garrison.  We have high expectations of both children and staff, and are currently looking for a dedicated teaching assistant to join the team.  Our LSAs have a wide range of skills and experience, and are expected to be able to work in any age group across the school or support SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis or small group.
