About the role

Early Years and KS1 Teaching Assistant
 
SEND Teaching Assistant, Salary Grade 4 £25,989 per annum pro rata (pay award pending), 30 hours per week. Term Time only. Working 39 weeks per year and paid 44.65 weeks per year. (approx. £18,045 pa)
 
 The hours of work as a Early years & KS1 SEND Teaching Assistant will be 8.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute break.
 
 The Governors of our friendly and successful school are seeking to appoint an early years/ KS1 Teaching Assistant to help us achieve our aims of getting the best from all our children in their learning and personal development and to support the safe and effective running of the EYFS and KS1 childcare at our school where  children will enjoy and thrive.
 
 You will:
  • Have a willingness to work and support children with special needs.
  • Have experience of working with children in an educational setting.
  • Have completed or be willing to complete NVQ level 2 in childcare learning and education or equivalent qualification.
  • Be enthusiastic, imaginative and reflective.
  • Be skilled at building excellent relationships with children, parents and staff. 
  • Be an excellent communicator.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Corpus Christi Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
