Midday Supervisor - Beaucroft Foundation School

We are currently recruiting to expand our brilliant staff team and strengthening it further in all areas of the school and college. We are looking for an enthusiastic Midday Supervisor who will be based at either our School site in Colehill or College site in the heart of Wimborne, with a “can do” attitude. This is a fantastic time to join our wonderful Beaucroft team.

The role involves, ensuring the safety, general welfare and conduct of pupils during lunch as well as cleaning and other duties in and around the class and hall between 11.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday during Term Time. You will join one of our departments, where you can really get to know the pupils and staff. This is a fantastic opportunity to get experience in our school, and for some successful candidates can lead to TA employment. Many of our midday supervisors work extra hours supporting the teachers and TA's outside of their lunchtime hours (by mutual agreement, there is no expectation to be able to provide additional hours). As a SEN education provider, you must have experience of working with children/young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities or have a desire to up-skill in this area.

Actual Salary £8,425.00 per annum (Grade 2, SCP 2) pay award pending.

This job is Term Time Only for 15.00 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.

 The salary quoted is the annual salary minimum and maximum starting salary for the position, at the time of the advert, based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. We will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern. A Department for Education Teacher’s Check will also be completed on all staff as part of the onboarding process.

Beaucroft is a Foundation Special School that caters for children and young people between the ages of 4 to 19 years who are experiencing learning difficulties, including complex needs, and those with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Please be aware that Beaucroft Foundation School and College operates across two sites so you must be able to travel to and from both sites. While we have two sites in Wimborne, we are one team with a shared vision, aims and values for Beaucroft. Staffing is arranged based on the needs of Beaucroft so you may be asked to work at one or both sites as required.
