About the role

General Office Assistant

Fixed Term until July 2027

Term Time + INSET days (39 weeks)

13 hours (2 days) per week (Monday & Tuesday) 8.30am – 3.30pm

Salary Details: Grade C £7,460 to £7,577 annual salary, pay award pending – Hourly Rate £12.85-£13.05

We are looking to appoint a General Office Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team from 1st September 2026. Based in a busy school and nursery environment, this role involves a wide range of administrative duties to support the effective day-to-day operation of the main school office. The successful candidate will provide a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception service for visitors, staff, and pupils, while also assisting with the delivery of first aid and welfare support for children as required.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Works well under pressure
  • Can provide general welfare support for pupils (preferably First Aid trained, however training can be provided)
  • Is a Team player and willing to participate fully in the life of the trust

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Stanley Green Infant Academy will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
