About the role

Start date: November 2026 (subject to pre-start checks)
 Maternity cover fixed term contract until Summer 2027. Full time.
 Teachers Main Pay Scale: £32,916 - £45,352 annual salary.

We are looking to appoint a class teacher to join Stourfield Infant School on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. Stourfield Infant School is a two/three form entry school with children from Year R to Year 2. At Stourfield Infant School, the children always come first. Everything we do in school is to help the children feel safe, happy, motivated and confident in their learning and relationships. We believe that children thrive in a caring and intellectually stimulating environment with plenty of praise and encouragement.

Who we are looking for

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  •  Qualified teacher status
  •  Experience of classroom teaching in key stage 1
  •  Recent experience of pupils with differing educational needs
  •  The ability to work as part of a team
  •  Excellent communication skills
  •  The ability to relate to children in and out of the classroom
  •  A commitment to inclusion and removing barriers to learning
