About the role

CC3.12 Care Worker. 12.50 hours per week. Term time only (38 working weeks). Fixed Term until 31.08.2027.

Grade 4  Spinal column points 4 to 5. Pay award pending 

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic Childcare workers with a “can do” attitude, on a term-time only basis, to join our team.

The role involves delivering an after-school club as part of our new wrap around care program, providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for primary school children after standard school hours. You will supervise structured activities, prepare healthy snacks, and manage the safe collection and handover of children to parents.

 The working hours are 15:00 - 17:30. The successful applicants will start in September 2026 provided we receive the appropriate references, school and safeguarding clearances.

This is an opportunity to join our passionate and enthusiastic team! We are seeking motivated, skilled and resilient people who ideally has experience of supporting a range of children. They will have a flexible approach, exemplary communication skills and be able to meet the needs of our children.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Stickland's Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
