About the role

Witchampton CE First School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G5 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £8,979 - £9,122 per annum (Grade 5)

This job is Part Time - Term Time Only for 15 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.

It is offered on a Temporary basis until 24-Mar-2027 

Approximate start date 19-Oct-2026.

We are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a fixed term basis until the Easter term with the possibility of an extension until the end of the Summer term. This role is offered on a fixed term contract of 15 hours per week to include 3 INSET days. 

The ideal candidate will work 10.30am - 1.30pm 5 days per week which may be subject to change according to business needs. 

We are looking for someone who has previous Teaching Assistant experience, and who can prioritise and work to conflicting deadlines. Communication is key in this role, as you will be regularly liaising with staff, pupils and parents across the school, as well as with our Trust central team colleagues. 

Interviews will take place on 5th October 2026, with the successful candidate commencing in post as soon as possible.
