About the role

Queen Elizabeth's School is looking for a Teacher of Religious Studies (Maternity Cover) to join our fantastic team. 

Actual Salary £32,916 - £45,352 per annum (M1 to M6).

This job is Full Time (Part time will be considered)

It is offered on a Temporary basis until 12 months maternity cover basis.

Approximate start date 1st January 2027

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our upper school. We have rapidly improved in the past two years and want inquisitive, positive, dynamic and resilient colleagues to join our excellent Humanities department and be part of our success. 

Our thriving faculty is currently recruiting for a Teacher of Religious Studies. The faculty is very well-resourced and there will be the opportunity to teach across all Key Stages.

  • An awareness of Rosenshine’s principles of instruction

  • An understanding of key substantive and disciplinary concepts in Religious Studies 

  • An awareness of some of the concepts explored in Tom Sherrington’s ‘Walkthru’ series or Doug Lemov’s ‘Teach Like a Champion’ series.
