About the role

Beaucroft Foundation School is seeking two highly organised and proactive PCR Facilitator/Annual Review Coordinators to join our administration team in a job share role, together managing the Annual Reviews for all students of the school site. You will work in collaboration with our existing PCR Facilitator at our College site.

The successful candidates will each be expected to work 3 days per week (at opposite ends of the week) predominately based at our School site, 8.30am – 4.00pm term time only; 21 hours per week.

The salary is based on Dorset Job Evaluation Grade 7, SCP 8 -14. Actual Salary £13,527 - £14,898 pro rated per annum

This job is Term Time Only for 21 hours per week and 39 weeks per year.

The salary quoted is the annual salary minimum and maximum starting salary for the position, at the time of the advert, based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to take on a key role coordinating the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Annual Review process across our school. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, parents and carers, local authorities and other professionals to ensure that Annual Reviews are well organised, accurate and completed within the required statutory timescales.

The role will include planning and coordinating the Annual Review schedule, organising and facilitating meetings with families, professionals and students, and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute and that students’ views remain central to discussions. Responsibilities will also include supporting staff with the preparation of documentation, quality assuring paperwork, maintaining accurate records and monitoring the process to ensure deadlines and statutory requirements are met.

We are looking for someone who is organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities, with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be confident communicating with a wide range of people and comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information. Previous experience of EHCPs or working within an education or SEND environment would be an advantage, but we are equally interested in applicants with strong administrative skills and the ability and enthusiasm to develop their knowledge in this area.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent administration and organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload and work effectively to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence in liaising with parents, carers, colleagues, local authorities and other professionals
  • The ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A positive, proactive and solution-focused approach
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • A commitment to supporting the best possible outcomes for our children and young people

The post reports to the School Business Manager and will work closely with the school's Senior Leadership Team.

Further Information

We value the diversity of our workforce and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.

Beaucroft School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; this is a commitment which we expect all staff and volunteers to share. The successful candidate will be required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with the Governments safer recruitment guidelines.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. The amendments to the ROA 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975, (2013 and 2020)) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account. The MOJ’s guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975, provides information about which convictions must be declared during job applications and related exceptions and further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.

We will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern. A Department for Education Teacher’s Check will also be completed on all staff as part of the onboarding process.
