Are you passionate about making a real difference?
We’re looking for a dedicated Tenancy Sustainment Officer to support individuals moving on from rough sleeping, helping them settle into safe, sustainable homes and rebuild their futures.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide intensive tenancy sustainment support to some of Dorset’s most vulnerable residents. You’ll work closely with clients to help them maintain their tenancies, strengthen their independence, and connect into their local communities.
You’ll collaborate with the Temporary Accommodation, Housing Register and Lettings, and Housing Options Teams, as well as a wide range of specialist support providers, landlords, and community partners to ensure a smooth journey from homelessness into long-term housing.
If you're passionate about helping people thrive, we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
✔ Supporting former rough sleepers into permanent, sustainable accommodation
✔ Building tailored tenancy sustainment plans and delivering one-to-one support
✔ Helping clients with budgeting, benefits, tenancy management, and life skills
✔ Working closely with council teams, landlords, and support services to wrap support around the individual
✔ Promoting tenancy success, safeguarding wellbeing, and preventing repeat homelessness
What we’re looking for:
- A passion for working with vulnerable individuals and helping people achieve positive change
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a wider team
- A practical, empathetic, and strengths-based approach to supporting clients
- Access to a vehicle and a full UK driving licence (essential for this role)
Experience in housing, homelessness, social care, or support work would be helpful, but it’s not essential — if you have the right attitude and a commitment to making a difference, we’ll support you to develop the skills you need.
