Teacher - Wyke Regis Infant School

An opportunity has arisen to join our hardworking and dedicated team at our Federation Infant School & Nursery where the governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our outstanding and friendly staff team commencing September 2025 initially for a period of one year.

We are looking to appoint an individual who:

- has experience of teaching within Key Stage 1 and/or Early Years or would relish the challenge of a change

- has knowledge of the Foundation stage/KS1 curriculums

- is capable of making excellent positive relationships with pupils and staff

- is committed to high standards of achievement and progress

- is able to deliver the curriculum in engaging and creative ways

- makes learning exciting, motivating and interesting

- can demonstrate sound subject knowledge in English and maths

- has excellent classroom management and pastoral skills

- is able to contribute fully to the life of the school and the Federation

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Keeping Children Safe in Education

The Federation will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
