Admin & Attendance Assistant
St. Osmund’s C.E. Middle School is an over-subscribed Middle School for Years 5 – 8, located in the thriving county town of Dorchester. The school is proudly part of the Wessex Multi Academy Trust and is Ofsted Good in all areas (2022).

We are looking for a flexible and efficient Administrative & Attendance Assistant to join our Admin team. The role is in two parts. Attendance Assistant on a Monday 8am to 4pm and a Medical Room/Admin Assistant Tuesday (10-3:30) and Front Reception on a Friday 8-4. Our usual office hours are 8:00 to 4:30 term time only. To help our working parents with children at St Osmund’s we can offer before and after school childcare at Out of Hours. This is a permanent and varied role starting 1st September:
- Mondays – monitoring students’ attendance to lessons throughout the day.
- Tuesdays – first port of call for all students needing medical attention plus some general admin work.
- Fridays – on reception – welcoming and directing visitors, answering the phone and assisting students and staff.
The successful applicant will:

- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage a demanding and changeable workload
- Be committed to the school's aims and ethos
- Be able to follow direction from the Headteacher / School Business Manager / Office Manager
Experience of working in a school office and a first aid qualification would be advantageous.
