Attendance Officer - Kingsleigh Primary School

This is an exciting opportunity to join Kingsleigh Primary School in a new role of Attendance Officer working as part of our office team and alongside the inclusion team. We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about children’s educational outcomes; someone who enjoys working as part of a friendly and supportive office and inclusion teams and wants to make a real difference to our school community. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in helping our pupils thrive.

As our Attendance Officer, your work will include:

• Daily monitoring of school registers, including first day contact with families
• Monitoring pupils’ levels of attendance and punctuality
• Working closely with staff to create shared approaches that support families and guide effective interventions
• Building positive relationships with specific children and families to help improve attendance
• Leading attendance interventions to support children with emotionally based school anxiety
• Contributing to our safeguarding culture as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

  We are looking for someone who brings warmth, commitment and a genuine belief in our children. You will have:

• Passion for helping every child be ‘Kingsleigh Great’
• Proven administrative experience, ideally within a school setting
• Experience working with children in a supportive or pastoral capacity
• A solid understanding of attendance regulations and processes
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
