About the role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven permanent Science teacher to join our high-performing, forward-thinking and cohesive department on a full time basis. We are considering all applicants for specialisms in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a combination of these. 

Science is a thriving and successful subject area, and the individual sciences are popular electives at both GCSE and A-Level. The science team is large yet tight-knit and benefits from co-located, subject-specific laboratories that enable effective collaboration with departmental colleagues. We teach a rigorous academic curriculum with a clear focus on supporting all students achieve positive outcomes.  You will work with the Director of Science and the wider school team to continually drive attainment and standards across the department and the school as a whole. 

There may be an opportunities for additional responsibilities for suitable candidates.

  •  To be engaged in the wider curricular offer for students, through being involved in clubs and activities, particularly those in the subject area.
  •  To promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies
