Joining our School as a Midday Supervisor offers the opportunity to play a vital role in the daily life of our pupils and to make a real difference to their school experience. Someone new to the team would gain a strong sense of belonging within a supportive staff community and the satisfaction of helping children feel safe, happy and cared for during the lunchtime period.
The Midday Supervisor role is for 7.5 hours per week, term time only, working from 11.45am to 1.15pm, starting date of employment will be Monday 11th May 2026.
Actual Salary £4,147 - £4,212 per annum (Grade 1, SCP 2-3).
The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.
The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
The role involves working with children aged 4 to 11 years and supporting them both inside and outside the classroom. Indoors, the successful candidate will assist with the distribution of meals, encourage positive behaviour and good manners, and support pupils with any needs they may have during lunch. Outdoors, they will supervise children at play, promoting safe, inclusive and enjoyable activities while ensuring pupils’ wellbeing at all times.
This role is essential in supporting the smooth running of the school day and helps create a calm, positive lunchtime environment where children feel secure and valued. By modelling empathy, patience and fairness, the Midday Supervisor plays a key part in reinforcing our school values and supporting pupils’ social development. The role also contributes directly to our wider priorities of safeguarding, pupil wellbeing and positive behaviour.
First Aid experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient and empathetic, with a genuine enjoyment of working with children. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a school community and contribute meaningfully to pupils’ daily experiences and overall success.
We warmly welcome and encourage prospective applicants to visit the School to gain a better understanding of the role, our environment and our school community.
