About Us

Heathlands Primary Academy & Pre‑School is a warm, vibrant one‑form entry school at the heart of the West Howe community. We educate around 180 children from Reception to Year 6, alongside our on‑site Preschool for 3‑ and 4‑year‑olds as part of our Early Years base.

Our community faces social and economic challenges, with a high proportion of pupils eligible for pupil premium and a substantial number with SEND needs. We see this not as a barrier, but as a reason to work even harder—and we are deeply committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background or need, receives the very best education possible. With strong teaching, a nurturing environment and close partnerships with families, we believe every child can thrive.

We are proud to be part of Coastal Learning Partnership, a dynamic and collaborative Trust of twenty schools united by shared values, strong professional networks, and a culture of continuous improvement.
