About the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic After School Club Supervisor to run our after school club provision at Broadwindsor Primary School
 
Start date: 1st September 2026
3.15pm - 5.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Total hours per week - 6.75
Fixed term appointment 
The successful applicant will need to be able to fully commit to the role.

Actual Salary £3,990 - £4185 Pro-Rated Actual Salary (Grade 6, SCP 6-9)

This job is Term Time Only for 6.75 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.

The main responsibilities and duties are:
  • To prepare activities and organise resources for each session
  • To lead the team in offering high quality after school care provision and attend meetings as appropriate,
  • To be involved in the development of other staff including training, assessment, monitoring and supervision.
  • Keep records as appropriate.
  • Be responsible for the care, presentation, display, safety, organisation and appearance of the facilities and equipment.
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children any young people in accordance with the school's safeguarding and child protection policy.
The successful candidate must have the required experience for this role;
 
  • Experience in supporting wrap around care (breakfast or after school clubs)
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Hold a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.

Broadwindsor Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
