  • Engage with parents and carers to build strong, supportive relationships

What we offer:

  • The chance to be part of an exciting new project and influence its development
  • A brand-new facility with state-of-the-art equipment and resources
  • Supportive, visible leadership team and a welcoming school community
  • A genuine desire and drive to provide a positive work/life balance with well-being support for all staff
  • A drive to reduce teacher admin with a supportive administrative team
  • Excellent CPD opportunities and a strong focus on staff wellbeing
  • Competitive benefits, including:
    • Occupational sick pay
    • Comprehensive induction and mentoring programme
    • Staff wellbeing initiatives and access to external support services
    • CPD from local and national bodies, tailored to meet the needs of individual staff

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are passionate about inclusive education and SEND
  • Have experience of working with pupils with complex needs
  • Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • Are keen to develop professionally and contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Have the drive and vision to help establish a brand-new provision

The Skills and Qualifications you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school or specialist provision
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experience working with children who have additional educational needs or require differentiated support
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 across multiple subjects
  • Ability to develop and implement personalised learning plans that address diverse learner needs
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
  • Leadership skills to coordinate resource base activities and support staff as needed
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and an ability to develop the skills of colleagues

You will bring:

  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued and supported
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards children’s varied learning styles and challenges
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with flexibility in adapting teaching methods
  • Dedication to continuous professional development for self-improvement as well as enhancing student outcomes
  • A collaborative mindset, willing to work closely within a multidisciplinary team

The amendments to the ROA 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975, (2013 and 2020)) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account. The MOJ’s guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975, provides information about which convictions must be declared during job applications and related exceptions and further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.
