TEACHING ASSISTANT REQUIRED BY RUSHCOMBE FIRST SCHOOL – XS10.5A

We are looking for an outstanding teaching assistant to join our successful, forward thinking and friendly school. The successful candidate will be committed to enriching children’s learning and well-being, ensuring the highest outcomes for all children.

The post is a fixed term contract ideally commencing as soon as possible until the end of the summer term 2027. There is a possibility that there will be an opportunity for this role to be extended for the following academic year.

The post is:

Monday – Friday
Hours of work: 08.30am – 3.30pm, 32.5hrs per week, 39 weeks term-time.
Rate of pay: Dorset Grade 3, SCP 3-4

The role could be in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and / or 2. Relevant qualifications and experience of working with young children is desirable.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Rushcombe First Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
