This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) but a job share would be possible and so part-time applications will be considered.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our curriculum support team at Coastland College. We are looking for someone who enjoys building employer partnerships, supporting students, and making a genuine impact on learner progression.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of connecting students with meaningful work experience placements, sourcing opportunities, preparing learners for work environments, and ensuring placements meet educational and safeguarding standards. If you're organised, people-focused, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.
With a specific focus on securing a large volume of work experience and industry placement opportunities, this role involves networking, relationship building, and coordinating initiatives to bridge the gap between education and industry.
We're looking for a reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering excellent service. You should bring:
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
* Clear and professional communication skills
* Experience in industry engagement, business development, or related roles.
* Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
* A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Most importantly, you'll be ready to make a positive contribution to our college community.
The important bit:
Coastland College is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and so an online search will be conducted for the successful candidates. All new employees to the College are required to complete and obtain an enhanced DBS disclosure. A copy of our Safeguarding Policy can be found on the College website.
Please see our Job Description and Person Specification for more information about the role and what it’s like to be part of our team.
We’re here to help you:
If you have a medical condition or a specific need for an adjustment to our processes, and you believe this may affect your ability to be at your best – please let us know so we can talk about how we can best support you and make any adjustments that you may need.
Don’t meet every single requirement?
We recognise that talent comes in various forms and so are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and sustainable environment for all, that celebrates diversity. If you are excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement on the job description or you are seeking an alternative working pattern, please apply anyway – you may just be the person we are looking for. All we ask is that you make this clear in your application so that we can take this forward to the next stage of the selection process. In your application, please feel free to note which pronouns you use.
