Dorset Outdoor Education Service are looking for an experienced instructors to join the team on a casual basis to supplement the delivery of educational day visits and activity sessions for young people in peak times.

Our Senior Instructors are key to the smooth and successful running of the centre. As experienced practitioners, they set the standard for professionalism, safety and high quality session delivery. Senior Instructors are customer facing leaders who must be polite, approachable and confident in every interaction. They act as positive role models for the wider instructor team, ensuring that activities are delivered safely, consistently and with energy, no matter the time of day. Their experience allows them to make sound decisions, adapt sessions to meet the needs of different groups and provide reassurance and guidance when working in dynamic outdoor environments.
About you
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to work alongside the core instructor team delivering high quality sessions on a casual basis.
The ideal applicant will thrive in a busy outdoor centre environment, working confidently both alongside colleagues and independently when required. You should bring at least two years (or four summer seasons) of activity delivery experience and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
We require the post holder to be outdoor first aid qualified, and hold at least one recognised coaching or instructor award, although candidates who hold multiple awards will be particularly well suited. A full driving licence is required, and candidates will ideally hold their D1 minibus licence.
