About the role

You’ll join the newly formed Communities Delivery Team, supporting the council’s strategic priority, Communities for all. Our small team is a passionate, vibrant place to work and we're looking for someone bringing their own energy and experience working with partners, both inside and outside the council, to take our shared work forward.

As a project support assistant you'll work across the team, supporting programme and project management as well as focussing on delivering the centrepiece of our Communities agenda; Community Conversations. These will be held in Neighbourhood Clusters across Dorset over 2026 and 2027. These Community Conversations aim to move Dorset Council towards better, more joined up ways or working with partners (VCS, Town and Parish Councils, Health Partners and Ward Councillors) to better support residents of Dorset.

Further Information

If you have already applied to the Project Support Officer role listed on the website on the 11th of March, you do not need to apply to this vacancy again. Instead please let us know during your interview that you would like to be considered for this role.
