PE Technician

Wanted for a September start. This is a permanent contract working 35 hours per week for 38.4 weeks of the year (term time plus 2 inset days) Grade 6 pay award pending.

We are seeking an organised, reliable and enthusiastic PE Technician to join our successful PE Department.

 Reporting to the Head of PE, you will responsible for leading a range of extra-curricular clubs both at lunchtime and after school as well as organising and attending fixtures and sporting events throughout the local area. The successful candidate may also be required to support our staff with the running of the Sports Leader programme. The successful candidate will also be required to support teachers in lessons, working with a variety of small groups of pupils.

 This is an important role so a positive attitude and calm manner along with the ability to prioritise and deal with a demanding workload is vital.  You will be an excellent communicator, confident dealing with staff, pupils and parents.  You will have good attention to detail and have the capacity to work in an environment that requires diplomacy, tact and confidentiality. 

 The ideal candidate would hold a qualification in coaching or officiating and/or have experience working in schools or with young people, though this is not essential.

 Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, and be competent in the use of a range of IT systems.

 Set in the beautiful Cranborne Chase, Cranborne Middle School caters for approximately 250 pupils aged 9 to 13. The school takes pride in all that they do, from the high academic standards that pupils achieve, to the nurturing and friendly environment for both children and staff.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
