About the role

We are seeking to appoint 2 Building Control Technicians (1x permanent role and 1x 12‑month fixed‑term contract) to join our specialist Building Control team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the effective delivery of statutory Building Control services, supporting customers through the Building Regulations process at a time of significant change within the service.

The role will also play an important part in preparing for the introduction of the Building Safety Levy, including supporting the development of new processes, systems and statutory returns, and helping the service manage an anticipated increase in applications ahead of the Levy’s commencement.

You will provide high‑quality technical and administrative support to Building Control Surveyors and Registered Building Inspectors, acting as a key link between customers, colleagues and partner organisations. Fast‑paced and customer‑focused, this role is integral to ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, and forthcoming Building Safety Levy requirements.
