About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to become a key part of our experienced and friendly team at Wimborne First School and Nursery, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).

HET is a large, fast paced Trust with currently 37 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community based partnerships, there are 34 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school. 

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual who iscreative and well organised. You will need to have experience of working with children in a school environment. Wimborne First School is a happy, successful school with committed, experienced staff and fantastic children.

Please note this role includes 30 minutes daily lunchtime cover.

Job/ person summary:
 
  • you should be driven to developing children, utilising effective curriculum planning to treat each child as unique with unlimited potential to overachieve across all areas
  • have demonstrable experience (min. 2 years) of working in a school setting and achieving excellent results
  • provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, experiences, independence and meets all the children needs
  • ensure a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children
  • a fun sense of humour
  • self-motivation
  • excellent organisational skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • a desire to support teachers and pupils in school
  • good basis qualifications

  • a current first aid qualification is also desired, but not essential
